Once again, a meandering book choice leaves me with a surprise. I knew people dressed as characters from the Netflix series for Halloween, so I figured comedy, right? Silly me, this book is an actual memoir, not even a fake memoir. So I did not get funny, but I did get an anthropological case study of women in federal prison along with some social commentary on the war on drugs and the plight of federal prisoners. I also learned that you can make cheesecake in prison.
