Funny book, serious issues
It’s tricky business writing a character who is dealing with depression and bipolar disorder. It’s even trickier business writing such a character in a romance. It’s also tricky to write an OTT flamboyant character who is endearing and doesn't come off as a complete caricature. Props to Alexis Hall for creating such complex characters and putting them together and making me care about them. And props again for not going all fairytale with a love conquers all HEA. Because love is great, but love alone does not conquer severe mood disorders.
