I read this book because I was thinking of giving it to my niece (who had already read it as it turns out). I generally like a books with a strong heroine and Tris was a great character. Overall I liked the book and I thought the world building was great. It was a really good story. My drawback was the author's writing style. Specifically, she gave away the protagonist's thoughts and feelings too easily. I personally like to puzzle through and contemplate what the character is about through their words and actions.
