The one in which I kick myself for receiving free copy in exchange for an honest review. Not sure why I chose this one, but I thought it might be some naughty fun. Four short stories, mostly bad.

Before my critique of the stories, I must express my perplexment at the author. The author is ACZ Publishing, and there is no information on Goodreads or Amazon about this author. It has a very impersonal feel, where the publisher cut out the middleman (the writer!) and brings books straight to the reader. I suspect they purchase stories where the writers sign away any rights and make them available. Kind of like a stock-photo provider, but for short story erotica. They seem to be amassing quite a catalog, all this year.

So, the stories...

Curious Boys And The Alpha. The worst of the bunch. It read like a penthouse forum where, get this, 3 guys are trapped in a car overnight and they have to keep each other warm. That part was actually fun. It was the leading up to that, where the main character talked about banging girls and how not-gay they were. The language was completely unimaginative and pretty hostile towards women (e.g. one woman was referred to as a cum dumspter). Overall not ejoyable. negative 1 star

Sealing The Deal. I liked this the best as it featured a polyamorous bisexual couple who were homosexually monogamous and heterosexually polyamorous. That's not me being pedantic, that's the actual words in the book! In other words, two dudes in a committed relationship who occasionally enjoy casual sex with women. In this case, the guys got it on with their real estate agent to seal the deal. **

Love At First Seduction. An ok friends to lovers story with a side of coaching. **

I'm In Love With My Lesbian Doctor. Doctor feelgood to the rescue. Hontesly, I was so ready to finish this that it held no interest for me. *


Audiobook comments. disclaimer, I received a free copy from Audiobook Blast in exchange for an honest reviewThe narrator sounded a bit like NPR's Terry Gross. That's not a bad thing really. In fact, I fantasized that Terry Gross, a cultural curator, secretly took outside jobs narrating erotica just to stick it to the man. That said, her phrasing consistently moved down in tone (kind of the opposite of upspeak, but I don't know if it has a name) and it got a bit tiresome. Even so, I have to give her credit for taking on such a project. It was a challenge to listen to this, and I imagine it was a challenge to read it.
