top ten reasons I will keep reading about Nik and Ben
I have a love/hate thing going with Nik and Ben. It's easy to list what I don't like about these books (misogynist rants, crazy and meandering plot lines, no lube ever...), but I am hard pressed to articulate why I actually do enjoy them. So, as an exercise to understand this strange attraction, I have constructed a top 10 list of reasons why I like this book in particular, and this series in general. In no particular order...
- Nik is enigmatic
- Ben is loyal
- Side character named Squeezy
- Ben gets a library card
- Nik and Ben are responsible dog owners
- Hot sex
- Nik gives just enough
- Ben isn't needy
- Radulf/Daddybark
- I was blown away by the ending
